Beneficiaries of the KUVIKELA Project take part in the Agricultural Marketing Fair in Ponta do Ouro, Matutuíne District

These are small farmers who are beneficiaries of the KUVIKELA project who today, October 3, took part in another agricultural marketing fair, promoted by the KUVIKELA project in the town of Ponta do Ouro, in the district of Matutuíne, Maputo province.
At this fair, the small producers and members of the Kuvikela Project's Schools in the Peasant's Field (EMC) actively participated, promoting the exhibition and marketing of various products such as cabbage, peppers, eggplants, carrots, cassava, kale, etc.
lettuce, spinach, sweet potatoes, onions and beet, among others.
In addition to the small producers, small companies selling and supplying agricultural inputs were also present at the exhibition, with the aim of making it easier for local small producers to buy them.
On the occasion, Euclides Zavala, Head of the Zitundo Administrative Post, who was also present, congratulated
this initiative by ADRA and its consortium partners and emphasized that: "this is a fair that will bring a new dynamic to the town of Ponta do Ouro(...)it will boost production and productivity, because we are bringing agricultural inputs closer to our small producers" said Zavala.
For her part, Anifa Ismael, Project Manager at ADRA Mozambique, stressed that:
"oThe aim of this fair is to make family sector producers into commercial producers, and make agriculture a sustainable livelihood" said Anifa.
The KUVIKELA project is funded by the Blue Action Fund and is being
Implemented through a consortium with the Peace Parks Foundation, in partnership with ADRA (ADRA Germany and ADRA Mozambique), Livaningo, AMA-Associacao do Meio Ambiente (AMA) and Centro Terra Viva (CTV), the project has a duration of five years (2022 - 2027).
