Emergency

For 34 years, ADRA has been active in emergency response, saving lives in a timely manner in Mozambique, and is recognized by the government as one of its main partners in humanitarian aid. ADRA provides food aid, shelter, non-food items, nutrition and assistance with water, sanitation and hygiene through in-kind donations, vouchers and cash transfers. The different needs of people in the emergency and recovery phases are met through a rights-based approach, adhering to the minimum standards of each sector. After disasters, ADRA Mozambique also strengthens the resilience of communities through practical training in climate-smart agriculture, seed multiplication, artesian well repair and management of resilience assets created during the programs, as well as behavior change communication.
