In order to ensure success, the project is working with 181 schools in the aforementioned districts and in their respective communities. At the moment, a total of 540 employees are part of this ADRA project, including school assistants, activists, mentor boys, paralegals and supervisors. There are also mentor teachers, but these are officials from the Education sector (MINEDH).

The VIVA+ project is strengthening sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents and young people in schools and communities, including HIV prevention, and is creating demands for Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services (SAAJ) as well as school counseling centers.
Testimonial by Graça Basília
At just 21, Graça has two children. She currently lives in Bairro, Mocuba district, in Zambézia province. With her two children, Graça Basília still lives at home with her parents and, due to her early pregnancy, she felt obliged to drop out of school. Graça told ADRA staff that she didn't know about the risks associated with adolescence: "That's why I got pregnant early," she confessed. "I'm happy to be part of the VIVA+ project in my community. I hope the project lasts a long time so that I
learn more about sexually transmitted infections, HIV, tuberculosis, as well as domestic violence. As one of the beneficiaries, I am committed to spreading the lessons learned to my friends who have not yet come into contact with the project's activists," Graça emphasized Given the activities and approaches of VIVA+, Graça Basília is back at school and is currently benefiting from a family planning package promoted by the project.
