This is the AVIR project - Advancing Inclusion and Resilience in Zambezia Province, which is being implemented by a consortium: ADRA, Livaningo and NLR, with funding from the European Union and co-financed by the Austrian Development Agency.

The project aims to influence the provision of local public services and ensure that women, young people and people with disabilities are respected, valued, visible and actively involved in social and economic processes and represented in public decision-making spaces at district, provincial and national level.\n
\"We are willing to participate and learn from the AVIR project, together with the technicians, so that we can be one in the February 3 community, and within the neighboring communities, where we women will have the opportunity to promote sustainable development at a societal level.\" <\/i><\/b>Rosa Martins Manuel, one of the beneficiaries of the project in the Lugela district, pointed this out.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This action is aligned with the general objective of the call to improve economic and social development, with a particular focus on creating sustainable jobs and reducing social inequalities.\n
For this project, the consortium (ADRA, Livaningo and NLR) has set its sights on the social inclusion of women, young people and people with disabilities, with a focus on creating equal opportunities and access for all, on a community network for development, promoting participation in processes to change their own lives and those of the group.

\"We hope to learn a lot about the different approaches of the AVIR project. This program will enable us to increase our sources of income in agricultural production through the application and adoption of conservation techniques, the inclusion of women in the decision-making process through the emancipation and empowerment of women and their participation in the management of household resources as well as the group.\"<\/b><\/i> Said Francisco Nihanle, one of the beneficiaries of the project in the Mocuba district.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The project will directly benefit women, children, young people and people with disabilities organized in community groups, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), among the poorest and most vulnerable segments in the districts of Mocuba, Ile and Lugela, in Zamb\u00e9zia province. \n\n
In total, the action will reach 3600 women; ii) 1965 people with disabilities or incapacitating diseases, including people affected by leprosy, konzo, lymphatic filariasis and other NTDs; iii) 1887 adolescent girls and young women; iv) 560 people with incapacitating diseases will be screened, especially children, for possible inclusion in community rehabilitation processes and\/or referred for treatment; vi) In addition, the action plans to reach 7,025 households (HFs), corresponding to 35,125 people.\n\n
With a duration of three years (November 2022 - November 2025), the AVIR project has funding of around 1,000,000 euros (one million euros).<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
