This is a sub-program within the overall DELPAZ program - Local Development for Peace Consolidation in Mozambique, which is funded by the European Union (EU) in partnership with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The project is being implemented by ADRA and Livaningo in Sofala province, in six districts: Machanga, Chibabava, Gorongosa, Mar\u00edngu\u00e8 Chemba and Cheringoma.
\n\n
The project's main objective is to contribute to inclusive, equitable and peaceful, green and resilient local economic development by facilitating inclusive community participation in government economic planning and investment activities, mitigating local conflicts and building peace, through promoting equitable access to the opportunities and benefits offered through the DELPAZ Sofala sub-project.
\n\n
Its main target group is disadvantaged and vulnerable people affected by conflict, women, young people, organizations for people with disabilities, farmers' cooperatives\/unions and conflict dialogue platforms\n\n\n\n\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Most of the beneficiaries are among the poorest segments of society, such as families and communities living in less privileged areas.
\n\n\n
\"We work day and night without income from our production within the community, so the DELPAZ project is an inclusion project that doesn't choose race, color or social position, so we really like being part of this project because it will boost our work, and we want it to continue to the remote areas,\" said one of the project's beneficiaries.
\n\n
In order to meet the main challenges proposed by the project, ADRA and Livaningo and their partners will work through existing structures, organizing vulnerable and conflict-affected communities, as well as disadvantaged\/vulnerable groups, including women, demobilized people, people with disabilities and youth groups, including Community Based Organizations in each district.\n\n

The project will promote economic opportunities in order to encourage the groups to remain engaged together, as well as recognition by society as active people; provide training in good governance, transparency and practical support campaigns to ensure that their interests are included in local policies and programs; these groups will also be linked to the INGD Data Winner Early Warning System.

The project will reach a total of 15,450 disadvantaged people affected by the conflict, including demobilized individuals and vulnerable people: 55% women (8,498) and 45% men (6,952); 20% of these people will be young people aged 18-35; and 5% people with disabilities.

With funding of 41,210,000.00 mt (forty-one million, two hundred and ten thousand meticais), the DELPAZ project has a time horizon of two years from October 1, 2022 to December 2024.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
