The project was officially launched this Thursday, March 14, with the aim of improving the nutritional status of schoolchildren as well as ensuring their retention in school and will cover around three thousand three hundred and fifty-four pupils from five (5) elementary school in the district of Sussundenga.

The ceremony, which took place at Machir Primary School, in the Dombe Administrative Post in Sussundenga, one of the schools benefiting from this project, was presided over by the Sussundenga District Administrator, Tom\u00e1s Raz\u00e3o, who officially carried out the act.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On the occasion, Raz\u00e3o assured those present that: \"the implementation of this program will contribute positively to the reduction of chronic malnutrition and will significantly contribute to the retention of students in school, and therefore improve their educational performance<\/i><\/b>\"<\/b><\/i> he said.

On the other hand, ADRA Mozambique's Director of Programs, Vicente Adriano, stressed that this is an integrated program that will cross over with the Nature + project, which is already underway in the Buffer Zone. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Chimanimani National Park, and reiterated that it aims to ensure that children are more likely to attend and remain in school.

During his speech, Adriano added that \"This program integrates several components (...) school production components, business initiatives, among others. In the field of agriculture, the project will promote school gardens, the allocation of inputs, training and the creation of savings groups...\" <\/i><\/b>he said.

It should be noted that the implementation of the School Feeding project in Sussundenga District is the result of the progression of the Boane School Feeding project, which benefited more than 7,400 pupils from 19 elementary school in that district in Maputo province, implemented by ADRA Mozambique from 2017 to 2024.
